Curated entertainment
Film, TV, music, theatre, and books — sourced and curated, proactively seeking out and serving up options aligned with our taste.
A private, agentic system — built to my exact need
Wintermute is the single interface to every machine and agent I have built: it's the engine that drives my home and my projects. One coordinating mind runs it all; it's reachable by voice or text from all my devices, built to be private where it matters, and it expands and shifts with me as I build and change focus.
Launch the live demoThe smart home was supposed to think for us. Instead it became a drawer of apps, each one renting back our own data, none of them talking to the others — none a perfect fit for the things I actually care about.
So I built the alternative — one system that sees the whole picture and acts on it. It plans the trips, sources the entertainment, researches the purchases, runs the house, and remembers what matters, quietly watching over all of it.
It leans on my own hardware for everything private, and reaches for the best cloud tools when that's the right call. The personal data stays home, local and encrypted, while the heavy lifting goes wherever it's done best.
What it does
Not one assistant with one trick — a fleet of custom-built specialized agents spanning all my projects and interests. They come in three modes: proactive ones that act on their own, speaking up when something warrants it; persistent keepers that stay always-on and hold state; and ephemeral workers, spun up for a single task, then gone. The highlights:
Film, TV, music, theatre, and books — sourced and curated, proactively seeking out and serving up options aligned with our taste.
A flight confirmation or a half-formed idea becomes a booked, day-by-day itinerary and a polished brochure.
It researches any purchase in depth and hands back a custom web page weighing the real options.
Light, climate, presence, and routine — the house reads the moment, adjusts itself, and suggests tweaks
An agent-maintained vault of notes and knowledge — including a Rolodex that remembers who recommended what
Personal, conversational coaching that adapts to how the day — and the body — are actually going using multiple data sources.
Describe a part in plain words, pictures, and/or dimensions — it's designed and 3D-printed to fill the need.
Rules, character builds, campaign lore, and prep — so game night is just showing up and playing.
Scattered documents become a clear retirement and tax plan, modelling numerous scenarios.
One source of truth for a big renovation — scope, budget, drawings, and room-by-room decisions tracked while managing communications.
A plain-language request becomes a crisp, ready-to-stick label — designed and printed in one step.
Tasks, calendars, reminders, and a morning briefing — across the home and everything I do.
Raw data goes in; polished, data-driven visual pieces come out.
A web-design, hosting, and DNS pipeline of my own that stands up public and private spaces, hosted at home or in the cloud as each calls for.
Keeps an eye on the home and the people in it, and raises a hand when something needs attention.
One interface, one mind
Under the surface, specialists divide the work: one plans, one curates, one researches, one builds. No crowd to manage, no dashboard to learn. Ask once, and one coordinated intelligence answers — by text or by voice, on the sofa or across the world.
Every project surfaces on a private network of my own, hosted on my own hardware; outputs land there for review, and I feed my input straight back. It's a living workspace I can step into and steer.
The build
Live today, used every day.
Shipping in stages.
The rules it's built on
It runs on my own hardware and surfaces on my own network, so the personal and sensitive stays put; nothing leaves unless I send it. The cloud earns its place where it's the right tool, and privacy is a choice I make, built in from the start.
Built to keep working when the internet doesn't. The home shouldn't go dark because a distant server did.
It runs day and night without being asked — quietly handling the small things so the big things get attention.
No subscription owns the plans, the memories, or the projects. I hold the keys to my own life's intelligence.
A system that thinks alongside me, remembers what matters, and looks after the people I love. Built and evolving according to my needs.
